Free Minded
Records

“Keep your mind free and your publishing freer.”

An independent record label built on ownership. Southern to the bone — trap, rap, and R&B with soul in the walls — and run so the voice owns its own name.

Artists keep 100% of their publishing. Always.

That is the whole deal, in one line. Free Minded Records was founded so the people who make the music own the music — no publishing grabs, no fine-print ownership, ever.

Portrait of FMG Muney Dre

FMG Muney Dre

Founder · CEO · First Act

Rap and trap out of West Memphis. Dre founded Free Minded Records as his ownership move — the label he wished existed when he started: artist-first, publishing intact, Southern soul in every record. His catalog runs from the Dead END EP to HIM, with singles like “Out of Pocket,” “It’s Time,” and “Mind on the Money.”

FMG YoungN

Artist

On the label since day one — here since Free Minded Records was created in 2016. No solo music out yet, but he’s already on some of Dre’s older songs on YouTube, holding his own next to the founder. His own records are still to come.

Zora

Artist · A&R

The R&B side of the house. An artist with a scout’s ear, carrying the soul records while Dre holds the streets. Her songs — “Red Door,” “Nobody Asked the Oak,” and “The Streets Wrote It (3AM)” — aren’t out yet.

About the label

Free Minded Records is the record label of Free Minded, the entertainment company founded by DeAndrew Preston Harris in West Memphis, Arkansas. It exists for one reason: ownership. The old model asked artists to trade their publishing for a chance. This label is the other answer — build the platform, keep the rights, and let the music speak.

The sound is Southern: trap and rap from the streets of the Mid-South, R&B with real soul in it. Two acts, one standard — if it isn’t honest, it isn’t Free Minded.

Free Minded also publishes books through Free Minded Press, its publishing division — original titles on mindset, hustle, and ownership, plus a fiction line, sold on Whop.
